THE FIGHT (any gender, early twenties to late life)
Okay, here goes:
"Ladies and gentlemen, today is the day we never thought would arrive. Malumnus has surrendered and will be allowing our radiation experts to destroy his powers of evil. From this day onward, the superpower of darkness will be gone. But another super villain must rise where a superhero reigns. And so I will be surrendering my own powers after today. The balance of the earth will be given back to human beings-- yadda, yadda, yadda."
Look Malumnus, if you want me to say that, I will.
But do you really know what you're getting us into? Do I have to beg? Please, Malumnus, when we walk into the that conference room, do something evil. Be horrible, do something unforgivable. I'll make it up to the humans, I promise I'll make it up to them but I can't. Be. One of them.
You think OUR fighting is tiring? What if you had a fight going on INSIDE of you at all times? THAT'S being human.
Always wanting to conquer people but always wanting their approval.
Always fighting to take on power but always hating the responsibility.
Always knowing what you should be doing to make your life better but always cowering to do it.
Those are just a couple of the inner-fights. It's human. I can't live like that.
Listen: If you sabotage the press conference, maybe we could reduce the damage of our wars and take it to the pacific ocean. There's a garbage float out there the size of a whole country. We'll be damaging things that weren't wanted in the first place.
How about it? Can we just keep fighting each other and be happy?
