LIZARD BRAIN (any gender, mid teens to late 20s)
Oh what- so you were what- you were lying to me last night? Or no, no, no, lemme guess... you were stoned.
Yes, you were stoned or some part of you was. And now it’s all, “oohhh that, right. Muh-huh! The ‘kill him’ thing, yeah that was pretty wild, I was on some pretty strong stuuuff.” Is that it? You’re just farting around with all this? Because I can go right now. I don’t want to be with somebody who’s just all talk.
And you’re not all-talk, baby. You wanna back out? That's just your lizard brain. We’ve all got it; the instinct to run and hide when it seems like there’s any danger. You gotta tame the lizard brain, baby. You start letting the lizard brain give you orders, it’s gonna kill you in the end. He’s going to kill us in the end, Brian’s going to kill us in the end, just you see.
You knew that, you totally understood that last night when you told me the plan, the totally, like uh- brilliant?- plan. That wasn’t some stupid kid, made that plan, that was a man. A man who saw things like they were and who was ready to do what had to be done.
You got a choice now, babe. You can become twice that man and follow through or you can be half that man, less than half that man- and punk out. Clock is ticking. I’d say we’ve got 10 minutes max before Brian walks through the door.
