For this one, you must make one last attempt to reach a beloved-- and potentially at risk-- friend in the Kingdom.
FRIEND (any gender, late teens)
Why are you silent? You never keep things from me. You never KEPT things from me. Eighteen years growing up together and you ALWAYS tell me your doings. Any mischief. Not that you were the one for mischief. That's ME isn't it. That WAS me.
But let me tell you: I myself wouldn't dare THIS. Whatever it is you're up to, it can't be good. I've seen you crawling down from the watchtower,
crawling down from the mast of the King's own vessel,
crawling down from the top of the CATHEDRAL.
WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING AND HOW LONG DO YOU THINK YOU'LL GET AWAY-
Yes, of course I spied you. Not on purpose. I merely went looking for you. Wee hours of the morning? That's been our leisure time before service to the king. Do you not remember? We used to walk, to forage, to go for swims... I... have we grown so much apart that you need to hide yourself from me?
I... I miss you. I care for y-
And anyway, you cannot hide from me. I can help you if you tell me what's going on. If you remain silent... perhaps this is an end to something. Something I realize I've held very, very... dear to me.
Enough. It is now in your hands.
