For this one, you must persuade a magical youth to abandon his village.
EXILE (any gender, late thirties through late life)
You deserve your share of clarity. Your survival depends upon it. You will not be galavanting off on some glorious crusade.
Such will appear to be the proposition. But be forewarned: The knight is losing his capacities. Covertly I and my council have been trying to manage him. But he has grown beyond our ability. Thus, we are sending him into benign exile: A village elder with a village youth to look after him.
While you can hardly do an adequate job of care taking, and while your burden may seem unjust, I would remind you, boy: There is a collection of villagers who find you most suspicious. My own son, your best friend- yes? Even HE has indicated activity of yours that merits... shall I say... trials.
And you've seen your share of those in the village square, have you not? Do you really wish to take your place there, at best left alive with your name tarnished...
and at worst...
...well, am I not being generous in offering this alternative?
