CLOUD (any gender, mid teens through late life)
I think you're around here. I can't see you. All I can see are the gravestones, the trees, the fence, that tomb-thingy... that's a tomb, right? Are you in there? Somehow I don't think so. I feel you more like a cloud above me. No. Inside me. A cloud inside me.
A cloud about to burst. Not right now, but soon, right? Something is going to burst, something terrible is going to happen back at the camp by the time the parents arrive tomorrow. I think you want me to be your instrument. I'm the one to make it happen, right?
Why?
Why me? I'm not evil. I don't want to harm anyone. That's not me. And whatever YOU are, whatever grudge you have against the living, I don't think I did anything to you.
[shudder]
Show yourself. Help me understand. The cloud is getting darker.
