For this one you must persuade a crowd of Earthlings to continue following your lead.
VIGIL (any gender, late thirties through late life)
As a figure in public office, a figure with considerable power, I want to start by offering my utmost humility. In particular, I want to offer myself up to the people who do NOT want me here at this vigil. I honor your feelings. Your feelings are quite correct. The race that massacred the hospital... they came to this planet with me. Under my approval. As my peers and comrades.
Now here I am, speaking to you at this vigil, as if I have the right to do so. As if I were going to con you out of your rage. I have no intention of doing that. Your rage is admirable. Your rage honors the slain patients of the hospital. I honor your rage and I honor YOU.
Rage is a feeling I had when I left my own planet. On my planet, people did not take care of each other the way you all do. They did not grieve losses the way you all do at this vigil. On my planet, they only cared for themselves. And at this... I felt RAGE. At the actions of my comrades, I feel RAGE. And even though the participants in the massacre are just a small sampling of my race, I return to RAGE.
Humans... my honored humans... rage is a good thing. Rage creates drive. A drive to not only punish the wicked but to create a world where the wicked have no place. A world where people take care of each other. I have the drive to lead everyone toward that kind of a world. We will not only be good, we will be BETTER. We have no choice. Those who were massacred? I bow to them. They are leading ME.
