GETTIN' CLEAR (any gender, late teens to late life)
Yeah, Charlie, I hear ya, we COULD maybe rob the bastard an' just let him an' his family live.
And that way we'd just be thieves, not killers.
But Charlie, that bein' the case, we're gonna be thieves that every member of the family can report to the cops. And then the chase is on. Give it one hour, Charlie one hour. We ain't gotta chance in hell of gettin' clear.
But if the family dies, it'll take at least half a day for the neighbors to find 'em. An' if we fix the family, like I got it all planned, it's gonna take the cops at least another full day to figure out what really happened.
That's an extra day and a half, Charlie. By that time, we are clear across the Canadian border.
Canada! God, Charlie, can you imagine a place that's nothin' but cold and green? A place where dust ain't nothin' but stuff that settles on a bookshelf?
